Job summary

Overture Partners is seeking a Senior Business Analyst IT Systems and Process Improvement to lead analysis for complex technology initiatives in a public-sector context. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, translating needs into clear specs, stories, and validated solutions.

The ideal candidate has at least four years in technology-focused business analysis, strong SDLC knowledge, and proven capabilities in requirements management, process improvement, and software QA.

Qualifications

• At least four years of professional technology-focused business analysis experience.
• Ability to lead stakeholder interviews and workshops, document needs, and manage changing requirements.
• Experience producing BRDs, FRDs, SRS, use cases, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall delivery methods.
• Ability to document current and future workflows, perform gap analyses, and model processes.
• Experience creating test plans, cases, and coordinating testing to verify requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to align business and IT teams.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and prioritization across projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and sessions.
• Analyze current and future state processes to identify gaps and optimize workflows.
• Prepare and maintain requirements specs, diagrams, use cases, data mappings, artifacts.
• Translate business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and UI/UX to document specs and constraints.
• Manage changes, ensure traceability, and obtain stakeholder confirmation.
• Coordinate analysis activities with agile and traditional project teams.
• Develop test plans and scenarios, assist testing, and confirm QA results.
• Investigate defects with users and developers and support retesting.
• Support reporting and BI dashboard requirements with data analysis input.
• Improve governance, documentation standards, and delivery practices.
• Assist with release coordination, end-user training, and adoption activities.
