Job summary

Huntress, a remote-first cybersecurity company, is seeking a Senior IT Automation Engineer to define and run the Automation and Agentic AI Center of Excellence. You will shape how automation and AI improve security posture, scale operations, and streamline workflows across the IT Solutions Engineering team.

You will own the automation stack, collaborate with engineering peers, and drive measurable operational impact while maintaining security and governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in automation engineering, systems integration, or a similar technical leadership role.
• Set automation strategy, translated goals into practical roadmaps, and guided adoption.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise workflow platforms, API-based integrations, and Microsoft tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional initiatives that use automation to improve operational scale, employee experience, and business execution.
• Own the enterprise automation and integration stack, including Zapier and connected business systems, ensuring performance and security alignment.
• Establish and operate the Automation and Agentic AI Center of Excellence with standards, governance, and prioritization practices.
• Build reusable frameworks, templates, libraries, and design patterns for self-service and reliable solutions.
• Represent IT with Internal Innovation to collaborate on AI adoption, feature enablement, and governance.
• Design modular, resilient integration patterns and automation pipelines with secure data handling and least-privilege access.
• Analyze operational inefficiencies and deliver data-informed roadmaps to leadership.
• Re-engineer meaningful parts of the operational layer with AI to preserve human judgment and security.
