Job summary

Charles Schwab in Austin, TX seeks a Senior IT Auditor to join the Internal Audit Department. The role focuses on infrastructure audits, cybersecurity, data center operations, and IT governance to strengthen risk management and controls across the firm.

Reporting to a Senior Manager, you will plan and execute IT audits, draft observations, and collaborate with business partners and external co-sourcing providers. CPA, CIA, or CISA strongly preferred; Bachelor's degree required.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years IT audit experience in financial services or Big 4 context.
• Experience performing internal audits in a complex regulatory environment.
• Ability to work on project teams with internal/external partners.
• CPA, CIA, or CISA strongly preferred; other certifications considered.
• Understanding of risks and internal controls; ability to evaluate adequacy/effectiveness.
• Knowledge of industry and regulatory issues and standard methodologies; share knowledge with team.
• Excellent analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit execution: plan and perform IT infrastructure audits.
• Ensure work adheres to IIA standards and IAD policies.
• Draft audit deliverables, scope discussions, test design, and work papers.
• Track audit status, issues, and budgets.
• Identify and draft audit observations for review by management.
• Validate audit issue action plans.
• Assist with Risk Assessment processes and meetings.
• Coach and mentor audit team members.
• Handle administration and training; support special projects.
