Job summary

CesiumAstro in Denver, CO is seeking a Senior IT Administrator to own enterprise IT initiatives, migrations, and upgrades. You will manage AD/Azure AD, MDM, and cloud services while coordinating with stakeholders and mentoring junior staff.

The role requires 5–8 years of IT experience, BS in IT/CS, strong security practices, and hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, AWS, and VPNs. This is a full-time, on-site position offering stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of IT support or systems administration experience.
• BS in IT, CS, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong understanding of IT support and systems administration principles.
• Advanced troubleshooting across hardware, software, networking and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute system migrations including planning, testing, and post‑migration support.
• Drive system integrations across enterprise platforms to improve interoperability.
• Coordinate and implement company‑wide software and hardware upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Manage Active Directory cleanup, audits, and group policy reviews.
• Plan and execute new application rollouts with stakeholder coordination and testing.
• Administer user accounts and permissions in AD and Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Manage endpoint configuration, imaging, patching, and software deployment via MDM.
• Monitor system health and assist in servers, network, and cloud administration.
• Support IT security practices including MFA enforcement and endpoint compliance.
• Mentor junior helpdesk staff and develop technical documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to root‑cause analysis and improvements.
• Participate in IT projects including migrations, office expansions, and tool evaluations.
