Job summary

BTS Software Solutions seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II with an active TS/SCI w/ POLY to join our Laurel, MD team. You will support IA programs, enforce security policies, and maintain the security posture of information systems.

You will assist in documenting and coordinating C&A packages, RMF activities, and system security plans, while contributing to the day-to-day security operations and risk assessments for sensitive environments.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of ISSO experience on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience in at least two areas: security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communications protocols; and encryption.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level I or higher is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for an information assurance program.
• Assist in proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies and standards.
• Maintain operational security posture and ensure policies, standards, and procedures are followed.
• Assist with day-to-day security operations and management of security aspects of the information system.
• Evaluate security solutions to meet requirements for processing classified information.
• Perform vulnerability/risk assessments to support certification and accreditation.
• Provide configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Prepare and review SSPs, risk assessment reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
