Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security for a large software development program in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves enforcing security policies, evaluating solutions, and maintaining IA posture across multiple environments.

You will support the ISSM in maintaining C&A documentation, develop security plans, and manage IAVA responses while ensuring compliance with DoD guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 17+ years or Master's with 15+ years experience.
• TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• 10+ years ISSO experience.
• 5+ years using IAVA management tools.
• 5+ years preparing SSPs and security documentation.
• Experience with security tools, encryption tech, and secure architectures.
• Experience in large software/IT programs and security operations.
• Strong initiative and team-player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide security policy enforcement across information systems.
• Evaluate security solutions against security requirements for multiple information types.
• Assist with configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and implement incident detection and remediation practices.
• Maintain records for systems (workstations, servers, routers, etc.).
• Develop and maintain system security plans and IA documentation.
• Support ISSM to maintain operational IA posture for systems/enclaves.
• Coordinate Certification & Accreditation documentation.
