Job summary

Metron Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to own the cybersecurity posture and authorization lifecycle of multiple classified and unclassified information systems.

You will work with the ISSM, CISO, system admins, and government customers to manage day-to-day security operations and ensure readiness for assessments. This mid-level role requires strong RMF foundation, hands-on classified system experience, and the ability to take ownership of authorization packages

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity on classified DoD RMF systems.
• Hands-on RMF artifacts incl. SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, eMASS.

Responsibilities

• Manage the A&A lifecycle for assigned systems per RMF/JSIG/NIST SP 800-53/DISA STIG, under ISSM guidance.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, SCTMs, STIG packages, POA&Ms, risk assessments, and eMASS records.
• Evaluate changes for cybersecurity and authorization impact; prepare systems for reviews and inspections.
• Execute and document continuous monitoring and vulnerability management across classified enclaves.
• Review configuration, access controls, and evidence against baselines; drive POA&M actions.
• Administer user and privileged access; enforce removable media and data handling controls.
• Support COMSEC accountability, incident investigations, and classified comms ops (SIPRNet).
• Serve as primary cybersecurity contact for assigned systems; coordinate with managers, vendors, and government reps.
