Job summary

RTX in Aurora, CO is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our cybersecurity team onsite. You will collaborate with the ISSM to ensure compliance with NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, JSIG, and other applicable directives.

This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Security+ or equivalent within six months. You will assess system compliance, conduct audits, develop security plans, and provide training across programs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
• DoD cyber and information security exposure is preferred.
• Experience with RMF, JSIG, NISPOM and related standards is required.
• Experience auditing, vulnerability assessment and security documentation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and delivering information systems security education and awareness.
• Investigating information system security violations and help prepare reports specifying corrective and preventative actions.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests within authority.
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments.
• Integrating new cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools.
• Support the creation, review and update of cybersecurity documentation and other technical writing.
