Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for 100% onsite work at our Dulles, Virginia facility. The successful candidate will coordinate with the ISSM to ensure compliance with NIST SPs, JSIG, DAAPM, NISPOM and customer directives across the program.

Responsibilities include security plan development, education, auditing, and incident response within a DoD-classified environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of related work.
• 5+ years of prior relevant experience, or 3+ years with an Advanced Degree.
• Experience with RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM or related regulations (e.g., FAA, PCI, ISO 9001 or HIPAA).
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments and IT hardware/software basics.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Security+ or equivalent within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and awareness.
• Investigating information system security violations and preparing corrective actions.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests.
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments.
• Integrating new cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools.
• Support the creation, review and update of cybersecurity documentation.
• Within six months of hire, obtain and maintain a Security+ or equivalent certification.
