Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II to join our cybersecurity team onsite in El Segundo, CA. The ISSO will oversee compliance, assessments, and operations for assigned systems and mentor ISSOs across the org.

Responsibilities include reviews of configuration changes, security documentation, and implementing new cybersecurity processes, with 10–20% travel. DoD and RMF guidance shape daily activities in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Requires university degree or equivalent with 8+ years experience.
• Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
• Cybersecurity background with RMF/DAAPM exposure.
• Experience applying government and industry standards in DoD contexts.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve configuration management requests within authority.
• Conduct technical and administrative assessments of information systems.
• Integrate new cybersecurity processes, procedures and tools.
• Support ISSOs and Cybersecurity Managers with documentation updates.
• Oversee ISSOs to ensure policy and procedure compliance.
• Occasional travel to other Raytheon locations (10-20%).
