Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Information System Security Engineer in Maryland to join an agile SAFe team focused on secure architecture, RMF compliance, and cross-domain capabilities. The role emphasizes security verification, testing, and ongoing risk management of complex systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of security practices and policies and hands-on vulnerability testing using customer tools.
• Experience applying Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Experience formulating IT security policy and implementing security controls.
• Familiarity with Nessus, NMAP, Wireshark and related security tooling.
• Experience configuring secure desktop and server environments.
• Ability to work across multiple systems and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Validate and verify system security requirements for large, distributed systems.
• Identify and implement information security architectures and enterprise solutions.
• Develop technical security solutions and standards based on current architectures.
• Assess and mitigate security threats and risks throughout the life cycle.
• Lead security planning, risk analysis, certification, and awareness activities.
• Collaborate with internal experts and communicate security issues to stakeholders.
• Participate in agile planning and security verification testing of devices.
• Ensure hardware/software architecture meets security requirements with other teams.
• Review and test critical software for security compliance.
• Enforce information systems security policies and methodologies.
