Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Information System Security Engineer in the Intel Sector to join a SAFe agile team. You will support system security architecture, RMF, and SVT across development, test, and production environments.

The role requires hands-on vulnerability testing, collaboration with multiple engineering teams, and strong communication with program managers and customer contacts. A TS/SCI polygraph is mandatory up front.

Qualifications

• MS degree and 15–20 years of prior relevant experience.
• Hands-on vulnerability testing experience using customer tools.
• Experience applying Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Knowledge of IT security policy formulation and assessment.
• Familiarity with common security tools (Nessus, NMAP, Wireshark).
• Experience with secure configurations of desktop and server OSes.
• Strong verbal and written communications and teamwork.
• Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and communicate trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Validate and verify system security requirements and designs for large systems.
• Identify and implement information security architectures for enterprise solutions.
• Develop technical security solutions, products, and standards.
• Assess and mitigate security threats across the program life cycle.
• Lead or contribute to risk analysis, certification, and awareness activities.
• Collaborate with internal technical experts daily.
• Communicate with Program Managers and customer points of contact on security issues.
• Participate in Program Increment Planning and Agile activities.
• Work with System, Test, and Integration teams to meet security requirements.
• Evaluate security implementations against compliance policies and suggest enhancements.
