Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC in Detroit seeks a Senior Cybersecurity ISSE to support Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Maneuver Ground. Your role drives RMF/ATO efforts across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.

You will collaborate with ISSM and product teams, produce SSPs/POAMs, and help guide risk treatment strategies while leveraging state-of-the-art security tools and DoD policies.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET security clearance minimum.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or Software Engineering from ABET-accredited or NCAE-C designated institution.
• 5+ years hands-on system or security engineering experience in U.S. Government systems.
• Experience with government cloud platforms (Azure, C2S, GovCloud) including secure planning, design and operations.
• Proven RMF documentation experience (SSPs and POAMs).
• Experience with DoD technologies, systems, and C2 policies.
• Hands-on use of eMASS for compliance management and reporting.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA and DoD cyber requirements.
• Knowledge of DoD STIGs/SRGs and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system engineers and officials to define and implement system security requirements.
• Lead continuous monitoring and verification of cybersecurity requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Advise government stakeholders and contractor teams on cybersecurity matters.
• Design and refine security architectures for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Support RMF processes to achieve and maintain ATO approvals.
• Identify security control gaps and non-compliance, aligning with standards.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments and document SSPs/POAMs.
• Manage Interim Authority to Test (IATT) activities and related risk assessments.
