Job summary

MANTECH in Norfolk, VA seeks a Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) for mission-critical national security projects. This remote position offers opportunities to develop accreditation packages for cloud systems in AWS and Azure, and to apply cutting-edge cyber security practices across environments.

You will drive security controls, RMF/FISMA compliance, and incident response planning while collaborating with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years developing secure solutions for incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• 3+ years implementing security controls and policies with emerging cybersecurity technologies, incl. access control, data security, cloud security, vulnerability management, audits.
• Active Security+ certification.
• AWS Cloud Certification.
• Experience with federal compliance and guidance (FISMA, RMF, NIST CSF, FedRAMP).

Responsibilities

• Performing cyber security research under NAVSEA for cloud and network solutions.
• Developing, defining, and aiding in implementing cyber security policies and processes.
• Defining IS and Network Environment security requirements per cybersecurity requirements.
• Supporting A&A packages for multiple projects.
• Applying security expertise to modernization cyber solutions ensuring confidentiality, integrity, availability, and non-repudiation.
• Developing Plan of Action and Milestones with mitigations/remediations.
• Mitigating IS and Cloud Network Environment vulnerabilities and recommending changes.
• Travel up to 25%.
