Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to safeguard digital assets and implement robust security measures across containerized workloads and cloud environments.

You will integrate security into CI/CD, apply RMF/NIST/FedRAMP standards, and monitor systems with Splunk and Prisma Cloud while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enforce security policies and document architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer focused on security controls and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience securing containerized/Kubernetes environments (OpenShift preferred).
• Strong ability to collect and analyze logs, e.g., Splunk, for anomaly detection.
• Experience designing/implementing security controls (NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Experience with cloud/DevSecOps controls in IL5–IL6+ environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a security engineering SME for containerized environments and microservices.
• Design, implement, and manage security controls for container workloads and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security into DevSecOps workflows to meet RMF, NIST, and FedRAMP standards.
• Configure and optimize security monitoring and logging with tools like Splunk/Prisma Cloud.
• Monitor logs and network activity to detect and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, ISSOs, and developers to enforce security policies.
