Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years as cybersecurity engineer with security controls and monitoring.
• Hands-on with containerized/Kubernetes environments (OpenShift preferred).
• Experience logging with Splunk and analyzing logs for anomalies.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FedRAMP controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as security engineering SME for containerized environments and microservices.
• Design, implement, and manage security controls for containers, including RBAC and network segmentation.
• Integrate security into CI/CD and DevSecOps to meet RMF, NIST 800-53, ICD 503, FedRAMP.
• Configure monitoring and logging; utilize Prisma Cloud or equivalent tools.
• Monitor network traffic, logs, and alerts; investigate and mitigate incidents.
• Assess threat intelligence; perform risk assessments for emerging threats.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, ISSOs, and developers to enforce security policies.
• Conduct security assessments of containers, orchestration, and APIs; propose mitigations.
• Develop incident response plans and coordinate responses with teams.
• Embed security across IT, software development, and compliance lifecycles.
