Job summary

Weris, Inc is seeking a Senior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to lead or support course planning, design and development, working with office staff and the Training Program Manager.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Instructional Design or related field and 10 years’ experience in training or consulting. Proficiency with Blackboard LMS and tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Articulate 360 is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in a training development organization or consulting environment.
• Proficiency with Blackboard LMS.
• Experience using development tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Articulate 360.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of training courses and workshops.
• Conduct training needs assessments and gap analyses to inform learning solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans, course development documentation, timelines, and priorities.
• Design learner-centered training programs based on adult learning principles across multiple delivery formats (instructor-led, virtual, online, blended).
• Develop, review, and maintain instructional materials, including facilitator guides, participant materials, assessments, and supporting resources.
• Participate in pilot sessions, evaluate feedback, and implement improvements.
• Monitor course quality, track project progress, and provide status reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure all materials adhere to customer style guide, instructional design methods, and adult learning theories.
• Evaluate course materials for accessibility per Section 508 of the ADA and Section 508 requirements.
• Ensure training content functions effectively within LMS.
