Job summary

Weris, Inc. is seeking a Senior Instructional Systems Designer to lead and support course planning, design, and development. The role partners with the Training Program Manager to manage projects and ensure quality across adult learning programs.

The Sr. Instructional Systems Designer will apply instructional design methods to multiple delivery formats, ensure accessibility per ADA Section 508, and guarantee LMS compatibility while collaborating with staff and clients in a hybrid Vienna, VA

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in a training development organization or consulting environment.
• Proficiency with Blackboard LMS.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or Articulate 360.
• Excellent written and oral communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and enhancement of training courses and workshops.
• Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to inform learning solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans, documentation, timelines and priorities.
• Create learner-centered programs across instructor-led, virtual, online, and blended formats.
• Develop, review, and maintain instructional materials including guides, materials, and assessments.
• Participate in pilot sessions, evaluate feedback and implement improvements.
• Monitor course quality, track progress, and report status to stakeholders.
• Ensure materials adhere to style guides and adult learning theories.
• Evaluate materials for Section 508 accessibility and LMS compatibility.
