Morrison Foerster is seeking a Senior Paralegal (IP Litigation) to support our IP Litigation Group in Washington, DC or New York. You will partner with attorneys and paralegals to manage complex IP matters, coordinate discovery, and prepare court-ready documents.

The role requires seven years of IP litigation experience, strong research and communication skills, and the ability to multitask under deadlines. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of relevant IP Litigation experience.
• Trial experience required.
• Significant experience in managing discovery requests, responses, and document production.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of accountability and proactive ownership.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform under pressure.
• Strong research, analytical, and data synthesis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Apply broad knowledge and skills to manage complex IP litigation cases, including procedures, project management, cost efficiencies, and utilizing technologies to maximize efficiency.
• Manage complex cases and develop relationships to gather data and create networks of resources.
• Oversee multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and implement effective methods.
• Review documents and data, conduct research, and provide insights and recommendations to support case objectives.
• Create and maintain files, documents, and data.
• Prepare and edit written materials including correspondence, memoranda, drafts of legal documents, and analyses.
• Mentor and supervise paralegals and temporary staff; provide feedback on performance.
• Meet billable requirements and submit timenotes and timecards weekly.
