Job summary

The ideal candidate has 10+ years IP litigation experience, including trial leadership, and a strong track record in discovery management, document production, and strategic analysis. Excellent communication and mentoring skills are essential.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

• Apply broad legal, project-management, and cost-efficiency skills to manage complex cases, and identify and apply technology to maximize efficiency.
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships to gather information and create networks of relevant resources.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize assignments, and implement effective organizational and procedural methods.
• Review and analyze documents and data and conduct procedural and factual research to provide insightful analysis, recommendations, and solutions.
• Create and maintain, or oversee the maintenance of, case files, documents, and data.
• Prepare and edit written materials, including correspondence, memoranda, draft legal documents, and factual analyses.
• Mentor and guide junior paralegals and temporary staff, including training and performance feedback.
• Meet billable-hour and administrative requirements, including daily timenotes and weekly timecards.

BACKGROUND PROFILE

Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of relevant IP litigation experience required, including trial experience and experience leading trial teams; ITC experience a plus. Significant experience managing discovery requests, responses, and document production. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and take ownership with a proactive, accountable approach to problem-solving. Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately. Strong research, analytical, and data synthesis skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Flexibility to work overtime and willingness to travel as needed.
