Job summary

Samsung Electronics America seeks a senior IP litigation counsel to direct complex patent disputes in ITC, US District Courts, and PTAB. You will counsel internal clients, manage outside counsel, and shape litigation strategy across multiple jurisdictions.

Applicants should have 12+ years of experience at top law firms or government agencies, with strong ITC and policy advocacy skills. Experience with CBP exclusion orders is highly regarded, and cross-cultural collaboration is valued at Samsung.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with bar admission.
• 12+ years of IP litigation experience at top firms or government agencies.
• Substantive ITC, US District Courts, and PTAB litigation experience.
• Experience with CBP related ITC exclusion orders.
• Experience in outreach to Congress/Agencies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct complex IP disputes in ITC, district courts, and PTAB.
• Counsel internal clients on IP litigation strategy.
• Oversee outside counsel and manage litigation budget.
• Monitor IP policy developments and advocate with policymakers.
• Represent Samsung in advocacy organizations and meetings.
