Job summary

Terabase Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Counsel to build and lead our IP program. You will own IP strategy across product lines, manage patent portfolio, and oversee NDA program, working with a lean legal team and outside counsel.

You will partner with engineering, support AI policies, and handle IP litigation matters, disputes, and enforcement. This role is hybrid, based in CA, with travel to Davis and Woodland offices.

Qualifications

• JD and active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction; eligibility to practice in California.
• 8+ years of intellectual property legal experience; patent experience and portfolio management.
• Experience selecting and directing outside counsel; managing IP disputes or litigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a patent strategy aligned with product roadmap and priorities.
• Lead invention harvesting with engineers; run a lightweight invention review process.
• Direct outside prosecution counsel on drafting, filing, and foreign filing decisions; review applications.
