Job summary

Tier4 Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development in Atlanta, GA, a hybrid role guiding an engineering team building a cloud-connected IoT platform for the self-storage sector. You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery across cloud, web, mobile, and IoT products.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience, a background in Go and AWS, and a track record of delivering scalable, secure software platforms while fostering collaboration and accountability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience managing software development teams.
• Proven success delivering and scaling cloud-connected IoT platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Go and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience leading full-stack engineering across backend, web, and mobile.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, monitoring, and operations.
• Demonstrated ability to drive execution and deliver business outcomes through engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers across backend, web, mobile, and cloud tech.
• Establish a high-performance engineering culture focused on accountability and delivery.
• Drive execution across multiple product initiatives aligned to company goals.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable engineering plans with measurable outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Operations, and Customer Success to prioritize roadmaps and deliver value.
• Provide architectural guidance across cloud infrastructure, mobile apps, and web platforms.
• Oversee Go backend development and frontend/mobile development with React/TypeScript/React Native.
