Butterfly Network, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - iOS to build native Swift apps for the ultrasound workflow. You will help advance the architecture and processes while collaborating with hardware, cloud, ML, control software, and imaging teams to deliver cross-cutting features.

You will mentor engineers, work with modern technologies like Swift, SwiftUI, and GraphQL, and contribute to a patient-centric health tech platform with a hybrid work model.

Competenze

• 5+ years of native iOS application development.
• Strong grasp of Swift and reactive framework design pattern.
• A strong grasp of SwiftUI and UIKit UI Design Development
• A strong grasp of XCTest Unit Testing and knowledge of UI automation
• Ideally experience with Obj-C bridging layers and internal libraries
• Knowledge of graphics rendering and image processing (OpenGL, Vulkan).
• Python and C++ experience to collaborate with device software and imaging teams.

• Collaborate with iOS and Android developers to unbox ambiguous requirements.
• Work with product managers, designers and clinicians to break down requirements.
• Produce high-quality, efficient, and well-tested Swift code.
• Follow established architecture patterns and evolve the codebase.

• Mentor engineers at all levels and promote lifelong learning.
• Engage with deep learning, telemedicine, and Butterfly iQ device integration projects.
• Leverage Swift, SwiftUI, Reactive programming and GraphQL in feature work.
• Translate tickets into actionable tasks with cross-functional teams.
• Perform a broad variety of tasks to support the role and responsibilities.
