Job summary

Butterfly Network, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - iOS to build native iOS apps for the ultrasound platform.

You will improve software architecture, collaborate with product managers and designers, and work with hardware, cloud, ML, and imaging teams to deliver cross-cutting features. You will mentor engineers, leverage Swift, SwiftUI, Reactive programming, and GraphQL, and help shape the mobile user experience across devices like Butterfly iQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years of native iOS app development.
• Strong Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit UI design.
• Experience with XCTest and UI automation.
• Problem solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, well-tested Swift code for iOS apps.
• Follow established architecture patterns and evolve codebase with the team.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, clinical professionals, and other engineers.
• Mentor engineers at all levels and promote best practices.
• Work across device software, cloud, ML, and imaging teams to integrate features.
• Engage in user research to understand real-world usage and needs.
