Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer, iOS, to join the Lingo project onsite in Alameda, CA. You will lead the design and development of sophisticated iOS applications, build shared platform components, and drive modern architecture standards, including Swift, SwiftUI, MVVM/MVI.

Experience designing and developing complex iOS applications and shared platform components.
Ability to optimize app performance, reliability, and scalability.
Experience with modern iOS architectures and modularization.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of complex iOS apps and SDKs, ensuring high-quality code.
Define modern iOS architecture standards (Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, MVVM/MVI).
Own large initiatives from concept to production, including CI/CD and observability.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and define specs.
Integrate AI/ML capabilities into iOS apps with privacy and performance in mind.
Migrate consumer mobile app from React Native to fully native iOS, bridging RN and native code.
