Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the iOS platform to drive delivery of the Starbucks iOS app, emphasizing accessibility and quality. You will collaborate to improve architecture, write code for new features, and release updates to millions of users.

You should have 4+ years in consumer iOS development, strong Swift skills, and experience with REST/GraphQL, UI testing, and modern architectures. Onsite four days a week with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with the iOS platform.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing consumer-facing iOS mobile applications.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, push notifications and multi-threaded apps.
• Attention to detail, testing and quality.
• Proficiency with VIPER, MVVM or MVP architectures and reactive programming.
• Strong Swift experience with some Objective-C.
• Familiarity with Apple accessibility features (VoiceOver, Switch Control).
• Experience writing integration and unit tests.
• Strong Git experience.
• Experience with Core Location and Apple Pay is a plus.
• Xcode profiling tools knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of TCA a plus and GitHub Copilot integration is a plus.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards WCAG/Section 508 and related laws is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, iterate, and enhance the Starbucks iOS application.
• Champion accessibility and improve app components.
• Contribute to architecture reviews and code quality.
• Test and release features to the public with robust unit/UI tests.
• Mature testing practices and evolve team philosophy.
• Participate in vision and strategy exercises for the team.
