Job summary

Disney is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Hartford team and help build a consumer-facing iOS app with a focus on performance, reliability and clean architecture.

You will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborate closely with architects, QA, and other engineers, and ensure App Store compliance while delivering high‑quality code using UIKit, AVFoundation, CoreML and StoreKit. 3+ years of hands-on iOS development preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience on a consumer app currently available in the market.
• Strong knowledge of OO and Swift design patterns and concepts.
• Solid understanding of HTTP and REST-style services.
• Proven ability to design and build multi-threaded iOS apps.
• Experience with Apple lifecycle, App Store submission, and compliance guidelines.
• Familiarity with UIKit, AVFoundation, CoreML and StoreKit.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and remedy problems, bugs, and incidents across systems.
• Analyze and optimize application code for efficiency, reliability and performance.
• Understand product architecture and assist software architects.
• Manage concurrent priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Collaborate with a high-quality code culture and strong communication.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and share knowledge in the team.
