Job summary

Ares Management LLC is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Los Angeles or New York based Investment Operations team. The role reports to the Reconciliation Team and serves as a senior escalation point for complex cash, par, and non-custody breaks across funds, portfolios and products.

The ideal candidate will drive cross-functional resolution, perform root-cause analysis, guide junior team members, and lead selected process improvements, with strong technical judgment and stakeholder

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in investment operations and reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliation processes and investment lifecycle.
• Experience resolving complex exceptions and coordinating with multiple providers.
• Familiarity with credit, fixed income, and derivatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior escalation point for cash, par, and non-custody breaks across funds, portfolios, and products.
• Drive root-cause analysis, ownership, and cross-functional resolution.
• Review fund admin, custodian, paying agent, and service-provider processing.
• Assess issues and communicate risks and required actions.
• Lead remediation, automation, and platform enhancements.
• Partner with Technology and business stakeholders to define requirements.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and governance reporting.
