The Carlyle Group seeks an experienced Data Scientist to join its Investment Data Science Team in New York. You will blend advanced analytics with commercial insights to support due diligence, growth strategy, and value creation across deals.

Expect collaboration with investment teams, data tool development, and high-impact, data-driven decision making. Qualifications include a bachelor’s in CS/Math/Physics and at least 8 years in data science, preferably in finance or hedge funds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, Physics or related STEM field.
• Minimum 8 years of data science experience in finance or related industry.
• Experience with hedge funds and financial services is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Dive into data analytics for investment due diligence with fast, rigorous analysis.
• Partner with portfolio executives to drive data-led growth initiatives.
• Lead development of data-centric tools to enhance deal processes.
• Support live due diligence with complex data translation under deadlines.
• Create data products to refine investment workflows.
• Oversee value creation projects from strategy to execution.
• Perform feature engineering, statistical modeling and hypothesis testing.
• Cleanse, integrate and interrogate diverse datasets for insights.
