Job summary
The Carlyle Group is seeking an Investment Data Scientist to join our Investment Data Science Team in New York. You will fuse technical data science with commercial insight to influence due diligence and value creation across deals.
Collaborate with investment teams and leaders to translate data into strategic recommendations. You will leverage advanced Python/SQL, ML, and data tools to support live due diligence, develop scalable data products, and drive data-led growth across portfolio
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or related engineering/STEM field.
- At least 8 years of data science experience.
- Experience in hedge funds or financial services is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Dive into data analytics for due diligence to assess risks and opportunities.
- Partner with portfolio executives to drive data-led growth initiatives.
- Develop data-centric strategies and tools to improve deal support.
- Support live due diligence with rapid, data-driven analyses.
- Create data products to improve investment processes.
- Oversee value creation projects from strategy to execution.
