Job description

Senior Associate, Investments

Location: Bethesda, MD (On-Site) | Employment Type: Full-Time | Company: Singh Capital Partners

About Singh Capital Partners

Singh Capital Partners is a family office investing across private equity, venture capital, real estate, and special situations. We partner with exceptional founders, operators, and management teams through direct investments, co-investments, and fund commitments.

We are building a modern investment platform that combines rigorous investment analysis with technology, operational expertise, and long-term value creation. Our team evaluates opportunities across multiple sectors and asset classes while maintaining a highly entrepreneurial and execution-oriented culture.

We are seeking highly analytical, intellectually curious professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about investing, business building, and capital allocation. The ideal candidate combines strong investment fundamentals with a modern technology mindset and actively leverages AI to improve research, analysis, decision‑making, and operational execution. This is not a role for someone who occasionally uses AI — it is a role for someone who builds with it.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate, Investments to support investment sourcing, due diligence, underwriting, transaction execution, portfolio management, and strategic initiatives across the firm. This role offers significant responsibility, direct exposure to firm leadership, and the opportunity to work across a diverse range of investment opportunities.

Critically, this person will also serve as an internal builder — designing, developing, and deploying AI‑powered tools, agents, and workflows that make the investment team faster, sharper, and more effective. If you are equally comfortable evaluating a cap table and building an AI agent, this role was written for you.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Sourcing and Evaluation

  • Source, evaluate, and screen investment opportunities across private equity, venture capital, real estate, and special situations

  • Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive assessments using AI‑powered research tools and custom‑built workflows

  • Develop investment theses and identify emerging trends and opportunities, including within the AI and technology sectors

  • Build and maintain relationships with founders, operators, intermediaries, investors, and industry professionals

  • Support deal sourcing efforts through proactive outreach, relationship development, and AI‑assisted pipeline management

Due Diligence and Transaction Execution

  • Conduct financial, operational, commercial, and management due diligence

  • Build financial models, valuation analyses, and investment underwriting materials, leveraging AI tools to accelerate and improve analytical output

  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and recommendations for internal review

  • Coordinate with attorneys, lenders, consultants, accountants, and transaction counterparties throughout the deal process

  • Support transaction structuring, negotiations, and closing activities

Portfolio Management and Value Creation

  • Monitor portfolio company performance and key operating metrics

  • Assist management teams with strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and AI adoption strategies

  • Prepare portfolio reporting and performance analyses

  • Support capital planning, fundraising initiatives, and investor communications

  • Identify opportunities to deploy AI tools and automation across portfolio companies to drive efficiency and value creation

AI Tools, Agent Development and Architecture

  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows to support investment research, diligence, reporting, and operational functions

  • Develop and maintain internal AI tooling using platforms such as Claude, GPT‑4, Gemini, Cursor, LangChain, and emerging agent frameworks

  • Architect multi‑agent systems and automation pipelines that reduce manual work and surface better investment intelligence

  • Evaluate AI infrastructure, tooling, and platforms as part of investment due diligence on technology companies

  • Stay current on the AI landscape — models, frameworks, agent architectures, and emerging capabilities — and bring that knowledge directly into the firm’s investment thesis and internal operations

  • Partner with firm leadership to identify high‑leverage opportunities to embed AI across the organization

Strategic Initiatives

  • Support firm‑wide strategic projects and special situations

  • Conduct research related to new markets, industries, investment themes, and emerging opportunities with a particular focus on AI‑native businesses

  • Assist with executive presentations, board materials, and stakeholder communications

  • Contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives across the organization

AI‑Native Investing

At Singh Capital Partners, we believe artificial intelligence will fundamentally transform investing, capital allocation, business operations, and decision‑making over the next decade. We are building our team accordingly.

We are not looking for investment professionals who occasionally use AI. We are seeking candidates who are AI‑native, agent‑fluent, and capable of building the tools they wish existed. The right candidate has hands‑on experience designing AI workflows, deploying agents, and architecting systems — not just prompting models.

The successful candidate will regularly utilize and build on tools and frameworks including:

  • Large language models: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok

  • Agent frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, n8n

  • Development environments: Cursor, Replit, GitHub Copilot

  • Research and synthesis: Perplexity, NotebookLM, Elicit

  • Automation and integration: Zapier, Make, custom API workflows

Candidates should be prepared to walk through specific agents, tools, or workflows they have built and demonstrate how AI has materially improved their work output and decision‑making.

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools

  • Hands‑on experience building AI agents, automated workflows, or AI‑powered tools in a professional or project context

  • Deep familiarity with LLM platforms, agent frameworks, and AI architecture principles

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and entrepreneurial mindset

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Benefits

  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays

  • Professional Development Opportunities

  • Direct exposure to firm leadership and investment decision‑making
