Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
SaxeCap is hiring an Investor, Private Equity to scale its investment arm, focusing on leveraged buyout co‑investments across healthcare services, financial services, and business services. You will underwrite, structure terms, and manage capital with senior leadership, including LP engagement.
You will lead a disciplined investment program that leverages AI to sharpen the value creation plan, with ownership over deals and relationships from sourcing through exit.
SaxeCap is the premier AI transformation and investment platform in private equity. We pioneered the concept of buying out traditional businesses and transforming them with AI in 2018, and today we are the go‑to AI transformation partner for 70+ PE firms globally, including 9 of the 10 largest by AUM as well as the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds. We’ve transformed 200+ businesses across healthcare services, business services, financial services, software, consumer, and more, driving billions of dollars of enterprise value expansion along the way.
We operate at the intersection of three businesses: (1) a private equity investment arm, (2) an in‑house AI transformation firm that designs and deploys bespoke GenAI, ML, and automation solutions, and (3) a suite of proprietary software products. Our team comes from places like Google, Palantir, Meta, Surge AI, Blackstone, TPG, Cerberus, Millennium, Balyasny, McKinsey, Bain, Oliver Wyman, MIT, Stanford, IIT, GSB, HBS, and Wharton. Our leadership includes early investors in OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, SpaceX, Neuralink, Mercor, Lambda Labs, etc. But what makes our team exceptional isn’t where they came from or what they’ve invested in, it’s what they ship. We are builders.
We are hiring an Investor, Private Equity to help lead SaxeCap’s investment arm as it scales. SaxeCap invests alongside the sponsors and management teams we work with, primarily through leveraged buyout co‑investments in healthcare services, financial services, and business services, where our AI transformation practice gives us a differentiated view of the value creation plan before we commit capital. This role sits at the centre of that model.
You will own significant parts of the investment lifecycle and the investor relationships that fund it: sourcing and screening co‑investment opportunities from our sponsor network, leading underwriting and diligence, structuring and negotiating our participation, raising and managing capital from limited partners, and managing the portfolio after close. You will work directly with our founder and senior leadership, and the role is scoped to the individual: we are open to candidates across a range of seniority levels, and title and responsibilities will reflect your experience.
This is not a seat where you wait for deals to come down the pipe. SaxeCap sees transformation opportunities across 200+ companies and 70+ sponsor relationships, and a meaningful part of your job is turning that flow into a disciplined, repeatable investment programme.
You are an experienced private equity investor who has done the work: you have underwritten real deals, defended them to an investment committee, lived with the results, and raised the money that made them possible. You want to apply that experience inside a platform where AI is not a slide in the value creation plan but the core of it, and where you will have more ownership and a broader mandate than a traditional fund seat offers. Specifically:
The people who excel in this role share a specific profile. They are investors first, but they are investors who want to build something rather than inherit it. The strongest signals we look for:
SaxeCap offers highly competitive compensation, including participation in the economics of the investments you help make. You will work directly with our founder and senior leadership from day one, with ownership over deals and LP relationships that would take years to earn at a traditional fund. The team is lean by design, there are no layers between you and impact, and this role is built to grow with the platform.
