Job summary

KKR, a leading global investment firm based in Boston, seeks a Senior Analyst to join the Investment Accounting team. You will support monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, prepare reconciliations, and assist with reporting for a broad range of investments. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of investment accounting experience, a working knowledge of U.S.

GAAP, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams. CPA progress is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment accounting or related fields.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; U.S. Statutory accounting preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Clearwater Analytics, PeopleSoft or similar systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual investment accounting close activities.
• Prepare and review reconciliations between investment accounting systems, the general ledger, holdings data and other source systems; investigate reconciling items.
• Support accounting and reporting for fixed income, structured securities, mortgage loans, alternative investments and derivatives.
• Perform period-over-period analytical reviews of investment balances and income; investigate unusual movements.
• Coordinate with Investment Operations, Portfolio Management, Reinsurance, Financial Reporting, Treasury and other teams to resolve accounting matters.
• Assist with accounting and reporting assessment of new investments and transaction structures.
• Prepare supporting documentation for accounting conclusions, reconciliations and key control activities.
• Participate in system implementations, enhancements, testing and data-related initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization and automation.
