Job summary

KLLM is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and staff training on software to streamline reporting. You will ensure timely financial analyses and accuracy across the department.

The role supports the Controller, requires strong GAAP knowledge, and a bachelor’s in accounting with five years of relevant experience. A Master’s or CPA is a plus; benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Master’s degree and/or CPA certification a plus.
• Minimum of five-years general accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts and accounts receivable, and payroll are recorded properly.
• Perform timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
• Ensure all finance and accounting operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and federal and state laws and regulations.
• Perform fiscal year-end close activities and assisting with activities and requirements of external auditors.
• Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.
• Participate and lead cross training as identified.
• Drive special projects through to completion.
