Job summary
Nextpower seeks a Manager for Inverter Field Services to lead field operations across North America, directing a team of technicians and coordinating subcontractors. The role focuses on commissioning support, preventive/corrective maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and safety leadership in utility-scale central inverter systems.
The role requires 80%+ travel, strong electrical engineering background, and experience with high- and medium-voltage systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent.
- 8+ years in industrial electrical systems or related field.
- 5+ years servicing utility-scale solar PV systems.
- Willingness to travel ~80%+ across North America and hold a valid license.
Responsibilities
- Lead field services operations, staffing, dispatch, and escalation management.
- Provide technical direction on DC/AC systems, MV transformers, and safety practices.
- Serve as escalation point for inverter performance and service recovery.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists, and field reporting standards.
- Collaborate with product, controls, software, hardware, and field teams to improve performance.
- Model safety standards per NFPA 70E, OSHA and site requirements.
