Job summary
Nextpower Inc. is seeking a Manager of Inverter Field Services to lead the development and operation of our inverter field-services discipline within Engineering Field Services.
The role oversees commissioning support, preventive and corrective maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting for utility-scale central inverter systems. The manager will supervise field service professionals, coordinate subcontractors, and drive repeatable operating processes while ensuring safety, service quality, cost
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years in industrial electrical systems, power electronics, or related field.
- 5+ years servicing/commissioning utility-scale solar PV systems.
- Experience with medium-voltage distribution systems and field servicing.
Responsibilities
- Lead inverter field services operations, planning, staffing, dispatch, and escalation management.
- Provide technical direction on electrical systems, safety, and post-install inspections.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for inverter performance issues and field failures.
- Develop and maintain field SOPs, checklists, and service runbooks.
- Coordinate with Product, Controls, Software, Hardware, and Field Services teams to improve performance.
