Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Manager, Inverter Field Services to lead the inverter field-services discipline within Engineering Field Services. You’ll set objectives, allocate resources, and supervise crews, subcontractors, and field staff across North America.

You’ll drive safety, schedule performance, service quality, and cost control while translating plans into field execution. Extensive travel and cross-team collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in industrial electrical systems, power electronics, renewables, or related field.
• 5+ years servicing/commissioning utility-scale solar PV systems.
• Willingness to travel ~80%+ to North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and long-range operating activities for inverter field services, including work planning, staffing, dispatch and escalation.
• Provide technical direction for DC/AC readiness, grounding, MV interface, cable entry and post-install inspections.
• Serve as escalation point for high-priority inverter issues and service recovery.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, checklists, runbooks and safety plans.
• Coordinate with Product, Controls, Software, Hardware and Field Services teams to improve performance.
• Set safety standards for inverter work per NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEC and site requirements.
