Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Manager, Inverter Field Services to lead the development and operation of the inverter field-services discipline within Engineering Field Services. You will set objectives, allocate resources, schedule work, and supervise technicians across North America to ensure commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting are delivered safely and on time.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
8+ years in industrial electrical systems or renewables.
5+ years servicing utility-scale solar PV systems.
Experience with medium‑voltage distribution systems.
Willingness to travel 80%+ across North America.
OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, NFPA 70E, valid license; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead daily and long-range operating activities for inverter field services.
Provide technical direction for DC input integrity, AC phase rotation, grounding, GFDI.
Serve as the tech escalation point for high-priority inverter issues.
Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists, and field reporting standards.
Coordinate with Product, Controls, Software, Hardware, and Field Services teams.
Set and model safety standards per NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEC, and site requirements.
