Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Manager, Inverter Field Services to lead the development and operation of the inverter field-services discipline within Engineering Field Services. You will supervise field service professionals, coordinate subcontractors, and build repeatable operating processes for a growing capability while driving safety, customer outcomes, schedule performance, and cost control.

Expect 80%+ travel across North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and long-range inverter field service activities, including work planning, resource allocation, staffing, dispatch, site coverage, and escalation management.
• Provide technical direction for DC input integrity, AC phase rotation, grounding and GFDI validation, MV transformer readiness, cable entry, ventilation, and post-install inspections.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for high-priority inverter issues involving performance, trips, energy availability, and service recovery.
• Develop, approve, and maintain Nextpower-specific SOPs, commissioning checklists, service runbooks, safety plans, and field reporting standards.
• Partner with Product, Controls, Software, Hardware, Security & Communications, Commissioning, Project, Technical Services, and Field Services teams to resolve issues and improve product and service performance.
• Set and model the safety standard for inverter work, including NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEC, site requirements, arc-flash controls, stored-energy hazards, and MV interface work.
