Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks a Senior Inventory Accountant at our corporate office in Raleigh, NC. The role demands accuracy, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication across all levels of the organization.

The candidate will manage inventory master data in JDE, balance interfaces, perform reconciliations, support SOX controls, and contribute to quarterly/annual reporting. A CPA is a plus and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with CPA/Masters degree.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Experience with JDE, Query functionality and reporting tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Inventory item master setup and integrity in JDE for finished goods and WIP
• Interface balancing between JDE and sub-systems
• Prepare intercompany profit elimination across product lines
• Assist with SOX scoping for finished goods reserves and raw materials
• Assist with purchase accounting for acquired inventory
• Provide field with item processing, reporting, and best practices
