Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Inventory Accountant in Seguin, TX. This on-site, full-time role supports opening a new facility with focus on inventory accuracy, cost accounting, ERP system management, and financial reporting to ensure accurate valuation and strong cost control.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, experience in inventory control and cost accounting in manufacturing, ERP (Epicor preferred), and solid Excel/data-analysis skills for cross-functional work with

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience in inventory control, cost accounting, or inventory accounting within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory valuation, standard costing, and cost variance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Excel, inventory reporting, and data analysis.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, and Production.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate inventory records, valuations, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Perform cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, material costing, and inventory valuation.
• Monitor raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory transactions, costing data, reporting, and system accuracy.
• Coordinate and oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
• Partner with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and Production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in establishing inventory procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes for the new facility.

Position Overview

An industry-leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to support the opening of a new facility. This role will focus on inventory accuracy, cost accounting, ERP system management, and financial reporting to ensure effective inventory valuation and cost control. The ideal candidate brings a strong manufacturing background, analytical skills, and experience utilizing ERP systems to support inventory and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods inventory to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory transactions, costing data, reporting, and system accuracy.
• Coordinate and oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
• Partner with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and Production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve inventory processes.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, inventory reporting, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a growing operation.
• Ability to work onsite at the facility five days per week.
