Jobot in Seguin, TX is seeking a Senior Inventory Accountant for a 5-day onsite workweek in a growing manufacturing environment. You will focus on inventory accuracy, cost accounting, ERP system management, and financial reporting to ensure proper inventory valuation and cost control.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong analytical skills, ERP proficiency (Epicor preferred), and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience in inventory control, cost accounting, or inventory accounting within a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong understanding of inventory valuation, standard costing, and cost variance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, inventory reporting, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a growing operation.
• Ability to work onsite at the facility five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate inventory records, valuations, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Perform cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, material costing, and inventory valuation.
• Monitor raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory transactions, costing data, reporting, and system accuracy.
• Coordinate and oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
• Partner with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and Production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve inventory processes.
• Assist in establishing inventory procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes for the new facility.

Position Overview

An industry-leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to support the opening of a new facility. This role will focus on inventory accuracy, cost accounting, ERP system management, and financial reporting to ensure effective inventory valuation and cost control.
