Job summary

The Robinson/Diamond Resource Group in Plano seeks an experienced Senior International Freight Forwarding Coordinator to own end-to-end shipments across ocean and air for import and export. You will work with carriers, overseas agents, customs resources and internal teams to deliver reliable service.

This hands-on role requires leadership, extensive freight knowledge and a proactive approach to accuracy, documentation, and customer satisfaction. Direct Hire, on-site in Plano.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for an established global logistics organization seeking an experienced Senior International Freight Forwarding Coordinator for its Plano operation.

This is a hands-on role managing international freight from beginning to end across ocean and air, import and export.

The approximate mix:

Ocean import is the heart of the position, but we're looking for someone with experience across all four areas: ocean import, ocean export, air import and air export.

What You'll Do

You'll independently manage international shipments and customer accounts while working closely with carriers, overseas agents, customs resources, vendors and internal teams.

Day to day, you'll:

• Manage ocean and air import/export shipments from origin through final delivery
• Coordinate customs-clearance activity and required documentation
• Track shipments and proactively communicate status to customers
• Work directly with carriers, overseas agents and service providers
• Review shipping and customs documentation for accuracy
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation issues and other exceptions
• Review freight rates and help ensure cost-effective solutions
• Audit shipment information and data entry for accuracy
• Review billing and vendor payments
• Prepare invoices as needed
• Monitor account profitability and margins
• Maintain customer and operational SOPs
• Ensure compliance with FMC and applicable international trade requirements
• Support and guide other members of the forwarding team
• Identify ways to make processes more accurate and efficient

What We're Looking For

This isn't an entry-level forwarding position. We need someone who already knows the business and can take ownership from day one.

• 4–5+ years of international freight-forwarding experience
• Strong ocean import experience
• Ocean export experience
• Air import and export experience
• NVOCC experience
• 2+ years of hands-on CargoWise experience — required
• Customs-clearance and documentation knowledge
• Strong understanding of international shipping documentation
• Knowledge of FMC and global trade requirements
• Experience working with carriers and overseas agents
• Strong customer-service and account-management skills
• Rates, billing and vendor-payment experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience can substitute
• Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required
