Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking a Senior Internal Communications and Change Management Specialist to drive strategic, hands-on communications that engage employees and align with business priorities. The role partners with HR, leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into clear, actionable messages.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and trusted advisor, capable of influencing across audiences and channels, and delivering plans from planning through execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive communications experience in business, industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Experience supporting senior leaders translating direction into clear communications.
• Experience creating content for multiple formats and channels (email, SharePoint, Teams, presentations, digital content, video scripts, print, visuals).

Responsibilities

• Support senior leaders in developing communication approaches aligned with priorities and objectives.
• Translate executive direction into employee messaging, talking points, FAQs, presentations, leader tools, and other materials.
• Provide practical communication guidance and improve clarity, consistency, audience relevance.
• Adapt messaging to leadership preferences while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Develop and execute employee communication plans and programs across locations and functions.
• Write and edit executive messages, announcements, newsletters, SharePoint content, leadership updates, stories, and recurring communications.
• Ensure communications are clear, accessible, and relevant for office and production employees.
• Support initiatives that strengthen employee experience, culture, transparency, and organizational alignment.
• Develop and manage communication plans, calendars, timelines, and deliverables for initiatives.
• Coordinate content across SharePoint, newsletters, websites, town halls, print, digital boards, and other platforms.
• Develop employee stories, updates, recognition content, employer brand materials, and external-facing content as needed.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Marketing, IT, Apogee Corporate Communications to align messages.
• Recommend improvements to standards, templates, channel use, content quality, reach and engagement.
