Job summary

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit Division. You will assist with planning, testwork, and coordination of facility audits, CSB audits, and central office reviews, and help develop work papers and audit programs.

You will prepare draft and final audit reports, perform follow-up audits, and participate in quality assurance activities in line with IIA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and conducting audits.
• Experience developing audit scope and objectives.
• Experience communicating findings to management.
• Experience managing multiple audit projects within budgets.
• Experience developing audit programs.
• Experience conducting hotline projects or investigations.
• Skilled in Excel with pivot tables.
• Knowledge of auditing standards and ethics.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, testwork, and coordination of audits.
• Assist in developing work papers, audit programs, and reports.
• Perform annual follow up audits and investigations as needed.
• Contribute to quality assurance activities per IIA standards.
• Travel to DBHDS facilities and CSBs for audits, including overnight stays.
