Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Senior Auditor to join the Internal Audit Staff in St. Paul. The role conducts technical compliance audits, evaluates internal controls, and supports risk management across agency programs.

This full-time position requires travel up to 10% and in-person work at least half of each month, with a day shift (8:00 am – 4:30 pm) and solid benefits. A DHS background check and other standard screenings are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Two years of auditing experience with GAAS or applicable standards.
• Experience with GAGAP/GAAP and compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyze internal controls and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and perform technical compliance audits across programs.
• Evaluate internal controls and risk management processes.
• Prepare audit reports and maintain permanent audit files.
• Ensure agency departments comply with federal and state statutes and regulations.
