Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials)
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in design, integration, and certification in aerospace or related industries
• Experience working effectively with customers and suppliers
• Experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering direction and technical strategy for assigned Payloads team across requirements, development, certification, production, and post-production phases
• Provide technical leadership and primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Manage engineering work statements and execution with first-pass quality
• Ensure design compliance with FAA/EASA, Boeing and customer requirements
• Drive design reviews and lead configuration management, change control and release processes with product and program teams
• Foster continuous improvement and team capability development
• Coordinate with internal and external functions to support new design development and verify requirements
