Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. seeks a Senior Designer to lead our design team and provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service, building lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers.

You will meet with clients, understand project needs, educate on requirements, and develop concepts blending personal style, lifestyle, and budget. The role emphasizes relationship building, ability to manage multiple residential/commercial projects, and collaboration with store leadership

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design).
• 6 years interior design experience in lieu of design education.
• Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years.
• Prior retail/sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Greet store customers and support store design needs.
• Schedule design appointments, develop clientele, and generate referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, designers, and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support design initiatives and trends in the market.
• Use design applications such as Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, and MyProject.
• Participate in local professional affiliations like ASID.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
