Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Sr. Designer to lead the design team and deliver seamless consultative design services for customers. You will meet with clients, understand project needs, educate on requirements, and craft design concepts that fit personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

The role requires a design education (BA/AA) or 6 years of interior design experience, plus experience in a retail environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design)
• 6 years interior design experience in lieu of design education
• Prior retail/sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Microsoft Office suite basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to discuss project needs and educate them on requirements
• Build a creative design concept aligning with customer style, lifestyle, and budget
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Stay current with design trends and use design applications (Salesforce, MyProject)
